Dana has been a teacher, school design coach, social worker and conference planner. As a teacher, Dana always planned the first week of school in the field -- ferrying students between biology labs, music studios and the Bronx Zoo. With twenty years experience leading learning experiences for adults and young people alike, Dana is passionate about taking learning outside, all in service of the community around us. Dana brings a deep understanding of group dynamics and design thinking to the work. Her commitment to understanding communities and context is grounded in every aspect of the Outing design process. On the weekends, Dana practices her design skills with her family, including her children Joey and Owen, who complain whenever the day’s agenda is announced and predictably end each adventure exclaiming “That was the best day ever!”
